Owner and Operations Manager - Kathy Kish
Kathy Kish is a local gal and the owner of Green Acres Pet Care Centre since 2015. She was born and raised in Abbotsford BC on a dairy farm which in addition to all those cows, always included a variety of dogs big and small. At present Kathy owns a 9-year-old golden lab named Chevy which she has had since he was a puppy.
Kathy is certified in DOGSAFE® Canine First Aid and is prepared to competently handle any situation while providing regular monitoring of every guest's general health.

Professional Staff - Christina, Kristen, Janelle and Kira
Our staff has many years of experience caring for pets in many different environments including SPCA, Pet Shelters and Pet Smart.
- Christina – is a Certified Veterinarian Assistant who previously worked for a local clinic before becoming a stay-at-home mother raising 4 children. She enjoys the great outdoors. Her hobbies include camping, hiking and fishing. Christina is happy to be back caring for dogs and cats and one-day dreams to live on a hobby farm with animals.
- Kristen – has lived beside the kennel for the last 7 years and started working shifts in 2019. She has 3 children that keep her very busy and active in the community. She loves stepping out her front door and walking to work and caring for your amazing pets. Kristen is a very empathetic person. Prior to this, she was a support worker, caring for people. Her hobbies are refurbishing furniture, painting and socializing around a good campfire.
- Janelle – has lived on the Sumas Prairie her whole life. She worked on a dairy farm until post-secondary school. Janelle has recently pivoted from being a certified dog groomer to certified bodybuilding and trainer. She and her son always own a dog and also like to take in a rescue or foster to cuddle and take for walks.
- Kira – You will see Kira working at Green Acres Friday to Sunday during the summer months. She's passionate about being surrounded by dogs. Kira is taking a vigorous "Service dog in Training" course 4 days a week with her Tamaskan dog named Wisdom. She is also working on a university degree. We are very fortunate to have her working with our Team.
All staff members are required to maintain knowledge and expertise in dog behaviours through ongoing training and certification in DOGSAFE® Canine First Aid.
